Pinot Gris

A variant of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris has a much lighter hue. Its clusters are small, with tightly packed spherical berries whose flesh is soft and fragrant. The berries have thick skins that range in colour from pink to powdery blue. Vinified as rosé for the wines of Reuilly and Châteaumeillant, it is distinguished by its pale, limpid, and brilliantly shining pink colour.
At first discreet, this grape later reveals a fine aromatic complexity, ranging from fresh fruit (white peach, apricot, raspberry) to exotic notes. It also stands out for aromas of honey, beeswax, gingerbread, and candied fruit of remarkable finesse.
